Our story

142 Fairmount Ouest · Mile End
In the pure tradition of nomadic cuisine, guests share a large platter where the flavours of the house unfold, satisfying the most generous appetites. Dishes are prepared with local produce following the Slow Food philosophy: a cuisine built on quality, respect for producers and sustainable practices, from farm to plate.
Atigh, the Mauritanian-born founder, welcomes every guest with sincere, contagious hospitality, giving each evening a warm and authentic atmosphere.
More than just a restaurant, it is also a gathering place where you can travel through evenings of music and comedy. Couples settle into an intimate setting while larger groups enjoy a welcoming space.
At La Khaïma, step inside the nomadic tent for a unique journey of shared tables in a comforting, colourful world!

Uncle Fofi is an Algerian-born comedian, producer and chef. Having cut his teeth touring with big names in comedy, he created the Couscous Comedy Show in 2009: he cooks the couscous himself and hosts every night with boundless energy. Mariana Mazza, Mehdi Bousaidan, Roman Frayssinet and Adib Alkhalidey played some of their first shows there. Today, Fofi feeds and entertains the crowd under La Khaïma’s tent.
